Last night Stephen and I joined a few of our friends to celebrate New Years in Padenghe, Italy, a town right on the edge of Lake Garda. You can see the beautiful view in the picture below. The house is on the side of a (small) mountain, but it has an amazing view of all the towns along the bottom of the lake.
At 11:30 we set off some fireworks and then we were able to watch the beautiful light show along the lake. For about twenty minutes, the entire coast of the lake was setting off tons of fireworks...we could see towns that were 60 miles away in the distance celebrating as well. It was beautiful and magical, and something I will never forget!
