First rain and it's starting to cool down!

After weeks of unbearable heat, last night it sprinkled and today it is really raining--it is a good thing because we really needed it.  We have been using the air conditioner almost every night, but now we can just leave the windows open with the shutters closed and it feels nice.  And as you can see from the picture, it is starting to clear up already, but the weather forecast predicts rain for almost an entire week.

Last night we went to a local church fundraiser with Francesca. It was a lot of fun and the food was really good. I had gnocchi which is a potato, but it tastes like a really dense ball of pasta dough and it is served with tomato sauce. For my second course I had spiendo which is pig meats on a stick with onion and tomato. I also had a Fanta (orange soda), but the Fanta over here is not very good; it is more lemon citrus than orange, but as always, I drank it anyway. The church also had dancing, but it had just started when we left at ten.
